SUCCESSFUL FUNDRAISING

1. You must be determined to plan and implement a successful fundraising program.
2. Determine the funds your school needs for those new computers or special project and set a time frame for the fundraiser. (Time frame should not to exceed 1 month. 2-3 weeks is preferable.
3. Set the collective and individual sales goals of the students so that the funds needed can be realistically met.
4. Inform the community of your program, through the school news bulletin, letters to the parents, bulletin boards, & banners.
5. Plan and train with the students so that they are aware of the value of the personalized ornaments. They should be motivated to write down their goals, and compete with other students. You can plan rewards and recognition for the students with the most sales. A prepared sales talk will help them reach their goals. Students must be prepared to fill out order forms, collect money during the order, and turn in the money and orders to a dedicated teacher.
6. An assembly on the starting date will help you motivate the students towards their goals. (Ideal prospects for the students are parents, friends, neighbors, parents co-workers.)
7. Provide continued motivation and monitor progress of the students
8. When the time frame has concluded, all orders and money must be collected from the students by a designated teacher.
9. Orders must be turned over to Christmas Cove in order to process and prepare the ornaments.
10. The ornaments will be delivered to the school for distribution by the students. Each students orders will be consolidated with his/her name for easy distribution.
11. Collect from Christmas Cove 40% of the total sales collected by the students.

**Money should be collected up front to avoid collection problems.

• order forms,
• guidance needed for a successful fundraising program,
• the ornaments and financing of the ornaments,
• personalization of the ornaments,
• packaging, and
• delivery to the school.
